So, we've been discussing the fact that arenas on the Prairies aren't booking many big names this summer.  A downturn in the economy and the Canadian dollar are two of the factors.

A local listener called me yesterday to remind me we're not exactly starved for entertainment.

He pointed out the local Moose Jaw Cultural Centre has some great shows booked in the coming weeks -   RuBarb Productions' Summer Theatre Fest gets underway this weekend with Mary Poppins - The Broadway Musical and then, this fall, there are a number of musical acts on the schedule, including the legendary Murray McLauchlan.

He also pointed out we've got Western Major Baseball League action at Ross Wells Park in Moose Jaw.  In fact, the local Miller Express are in the playoffs next week and they finish off their regular season at home this Sunday afternoon.

And, on the sunny side of the street, our Moose Jaw Warriors will be back in action at our arena, Mosaic Place, within a month.
