The first day of spring is a busy one in music history!

Lets start things off with March 20, 1960, the date Elvis Presley took part in a 12-hour recording session, his first session after being discharged from the US Army. Recorded during the session? His next No. 1 single ‘Stuck on You.’

March 20, 1964, the Beatles received an award while performing on the UK TV show ‘Ready Steady Go!’ for having the top 3 singles on the charts all at the same time. That same day also saw The Temptations release their debut album ‘Meet the Temptations.’

Moving ahead 5 years to March 20, 1969, John Lennon married Yoko Ono in Gibraltar, then went on to spend a few days in a Montreal hotel hosting a ‘Bed-in’ where they recorded Give Peace a Chance.

And finally, on March 20, 1991, Michael Jackson would sign the largest contract in recording history...a $1 billion deal with SONY.
