We've talked about it before on this radio feature.  They're talking about it on social media this week.

A local man by the name of Matthew writes, "I hear lots of people who say...they have to go elsewhere to find things or get certain services...what items and/or services are missing from our community?"

Well, he got some feedback.  As of this morning, he has received 361 comments on his post.

A number of people would like to see a proper men's wear store.  Locals are having trouble finding quality slacks, shirts and ties.  Some of the ladies would like to see Victoria's Secret in Moose Jaw.

One lady says, "I miss Sears and Zellers and Winners."

And then, another replies, "...they're gone because people didn't patronize them...in order for a major retailer to come to a city this size, people have to support it or they close up and leave."

She's right.  And the same thing goes for the smaller, independent, locally owned stores.  We need to shop local.  Period.
