Football fans will soon be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend Saskatchewan Roughrider games at Mosaic Stadium.

The Riders announced it yesterday.  The decision is being applauded by many including the Saskatchewan Health Authority.  That organization saying they are "thankful and supportive" for the "proactive decision".

The move comes at the same time a number of Saskatchewan physicians are taking to social media calling on the provincial government to take action while they let us know that our hospitals are filling up again.

Numbers released Monday show 258 new cases in our province and 208 of those people are unvaccinated.

It's interesting to note, a former colleague of mine, Donna Pasiechnik Tweeted at Premier Moe the other day, writing, "...I've done everything you've asked since the pandemic began.  Why are unvaccinated peoples' rights more important than mine?  Implement vaccine passports for non-essential activities so that those of us who've played nice can get our lives back."
