As the Saskatchewan Festival of Words launched another season of Performers Cafes, they also awarded one of their fan favourites with the RBC Emerging Artist Award.

Terri Bosner, a headliner at the cafe last year, was chosen by audience members to receive the award and a $1000 prize.

"She performs rants and poetry and I think she's really connected with the audience," said Amanda Farnell, Operation Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Festival of Words. "I think she'd been performing at the cafe for about a year now and she's really built up a following."

"She does really great stuff and is really passionate and I think that's why people connected to her and what she was writing."

Funding through the RBC Emerging Artists Project allowed the Festival staff to create this award and have another one for 2019.
