Moose Jaw broke daily rainfall record
Moose Jaw broke a rainfall record yesterday. “It was a daily rainfall record, but not a monthly record,” explained Terri Lang, meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada. Moose Jaw saw 29.7 mm of rainfall in Moose Jaw yesterday, beating the old daily record from 1969 of 17.0 mm. “The monthly rainfall record for April is 38.6 mm set on April 19, 1955.” Lang said we’re expecting a bit more precipitation in the coming days. “The bulk of the rain will probably fall today, with another maybe 5 to 10 mm possible. At times it might be mixed with wet snow as well.” She urges people to be careful and make sure they’re checking the Highway Hotline before setting out.
