Paving will be getting underway starting on June 8, which will be closing sections of Thatcher Drive West.

Crews will pave the road on Thatcher Drive West from Wood Lily Drive to VLA Gate. Those intersections will remain open.

The intersections at Ninth Avenue North West and 11th Avenue North West will be closed during phases of the project. However, one of those intersections will remain open during the two phases.

Wood Lily Drive to 11th Avenue will be closed from June 8 to 11 for milling and 16 to 19 for paving. The Ninth Avenue intersection will be closed during this phase and the 11th Avenue intersection will be open.

11th Avenue to VLA Gate will be closed from June 12 to 15 for milling and 19 to 24 for paving and line painting. The 11th Avenue intersection will be closed during this phase and the Ninth Avenue intersection will be open.

The following are recommended alternate routes while the work is taking place:

West Park residents: Use Meier Drive, West Park Drive, Iris Drive, then Wood Lily Drive.

11th Avenue residents south of Thatcher Drive: Use Normandy Drive, then Ninth Avenue.

Traffic from Ninth Avenue: Northbound, use Normandy Drive and southbound, use Iris Drive

Heavy hauling trucks from Highways 1 and 2: Take Ninth Avenue North East instead of Ninth Avenue North West.

Moose Jaw transit routes and bus stops will also be affected by this project. You can view the changes at moosejaw.ca/transit

The project is estimated to be completed by June 25, weather permitting.
