So, Moose Jaw's new joint-use school will be built in our Westheath subdivision.  That's over on the south west side of our city.

The local Prairie South and Holy Trinity school divisions will build it together and share the new facility, which will replace four aging elementary schools on South Hill.

The announcement brought out the critics initially but I'm pleased to see many Moose Javians speaking up in favour of the amalgamation and location.

One local woman writes, "...it's actually a pretty amazing idea and helps cut costs in the long run by sharing a building."

Another writes, "I think it's great...new, modern schools keeping up with the times."

And, a South Hill mom says, "I think it's great news!  I have kids that will attend this awesome new school and I'm excited for it!  It just makes sense to combine the schools and I think it will benefit the kids."

We've become "notorious" for being against progress in this city so, I'm finding the positive response "surprisingly unexpected."
