A two-vehicle accident took place at around noon on Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1, about seven kilometres east of Moose Jaw.

An initial investigation by the Moose Jaw RCMP determined that a SUV collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer hauling farm equipment.

The male driver of the SUV was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. There's no word on the extent of the injuries. The male driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, according to police.

The road was cleared and all lanes were reopened by 1:30 p.m.

The Moose Jaw RCMP are continuing to investigate.
