It's with a heavy heart that local celebrity Lee Bellows passed away on Thursday.

Bellows, who is from Moose Jaw, was a long-time rodeo clown, barrel man, cowboy poet, and a fan favourite.

The Canadian Cowboys Association expressed their condolences to Bellows.

"Our deepest condolences go out to the family of fellow cowboy Lee Bellows," the CCA said in a social media post. "To know Lee was to love Lee. His kind heart, smile, and service to the rodeo community will surely be missed for years to come."

Prior to his passing, Bellows worked as a livestock inspector for the South Central District, and then on weekends traveled to rodeos.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
