If I've heard it once I've heard it hundreds of times..."Happy wife, happy life."

I especially enjoy hearing that line when a man's wife is present and she smiles and nods.

These days, however, it seems women are happiest when they're single with no kids.  The findings come from a study by behavioural scientest Paul Dolan, hi-lited in an article on MSN.com

Some studies have found married people are happier but Dolan found it's more likely due to having a dual income and emotional support from a partner.

The stigma that comes with being single is also a factor.  Single women can feel pressure under "constant questioning by others of their life choices."

One of the key conclusions from the study cites research that showed "unmarried people report lower levels of misery."

So, there's that.
