It's Throwback Thursday as we wind down 100th anniversary celebrations at CHAB Radio.

I always reflect on my time as the Voice of the Moose Jaw Warriors on CHAB at this time of year.  For many years, we'd take off on our west coast trip on Boxing Day.  We'd be on the road for 10 or 12 days and we'd always have a game on New Year's Eve.

I clearly remember December 31st, 1999.  We played the Chiefs in Spokane.  I can't remember if we won or lost but I do recall everyone talking about Y2K.  Many were worried - scared of the millennium bug that many experts thought would disrupt computers around the world.

I was a little anxious myself as I prepared to shut 'er down for the night in my hotel room.  I stood at the window at midnight, watching, waiting for the turn of the century.

When the clock hit midnight, nothing happened.  All the lights stayed on and the television was still working and so was the clock radio.  I checked the telephone and I got a dial tone so I ordered up a pizza.

It was the most memorable non-event of my life.
