It was fun to read the social media posts yesterday as many across the country made the adjustment, "falling back" as Daylight Savings Time came to an end for another winter.

An old friend of mine in Montreal posted a picture of her cat on Twitter with the caption, "Didn't give a (care) about your time change.  Wanted breakfast at 4:45 AM."

Some in Saskatchewan will tell you we're already on DST - year-round.  I say those people are wrong.  And don't get me wrong.  The way my life is set up right now, I like the early sunrise.  It starts getting light around 4:30 am from mid-June through mid-July.

You know, among the proponents of DST are people who make a living in the tourism industry.  Many believe longer evenings would give our tourists more time for shopping and attending other events and therefore boosting the local economy.

But here we are.  While others spring forward and then fall back, here in Saskatchewan we just stand pat.
