Our team wasn't in the game but our fans sure were.

A "tip o' the hat" and a "way to go" today for the organizers, volunteers and attendees for putting on a wonderful show at the 109th Grey Cup game in Regina.

I wasn't overly excited about the game until 4:57 PM.  That's when the Canadian Forces Snowbirds flew over my neighbourhood in Moose Jaw on their way for a fly-past at Mosaic Stadium.  Minutes later, there they were, on TSN, lights on - smoke on.

The football game was fantastic, featuring some great plays from interceptions to exciting kick returns, clutch runs, vicious quarterback sacks and blocked field goals.

When the dust settled, the Toronto Argonauts were the winners - 24-23 over the defending champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Oh, and we Moose Javians are winners too.  Hundreds of fans visited and found accommodations in our city on the weekend, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in economic spinoff.

What's more?  We looked good on national TV.

It made me proud to be a Saskatchewanian.  How about you?
