Time for Throwback Thursday as we celebrate 100 years on the air at 800 CHAB.  I'll be sharing memories of times gone by every Thursday this year and we're asking you so share yours!  You can call, any time of day, and tell me your story.  The number is 306 691 1411.

We were "10 AB" when we first went on the air April 23rd, 1922.  We'll mark that historic date with a special show on Friday, April 22nd.  We've invited a number of special guests to join us in-studio - people with special connections to CHAB and the city of Moose Jaw.  And we'll take trips back in time and listen to some vintage radio from the likes of Cy Knight, Ken Newans, Fergie Olver and Pallie Pascoe.  I hope you'll join us.

It's interesting to note, the Moose Jaw Amateur Radio Association got us started, ran out of money and turned the station over to the local Kiwanis Club.  They got us on the air in 1922 operating with 50 watts of power.  100 years later, here we are, pumping out the local news, local weather and local sports across most of the province with 10,000 watts of power.

CHAB 100 - The Radio Special, next Friday from 6:00 AM through to 1:00 PM.  Please tune it in.
