NDP leader Ryan Meili came to his hometown just hours after it became official - the 2020 provincial election campaign is underway.

Mr. Meili joined his local candidates for a media conference in downtown Moose Jaw yesterday and, as you might expect in today's world. posted about it on social media.

It was actually first thing yesterday morning that he wrote, "...voters will have the chance to choose what kind of government they want.  Scott Moe offering cuts and sell-offs, but I think Saskatchewan people deserve better.  It's time for a government that invests in classrooms, healthcare, renewable energy and good jobs..."

Not all the feedback on his page was positive.

One man wrote, "If the change you want is higher taxes, an increase in government regulation, carbon tax, higher unemployment...you can vote NDP and get it."

An NDP supporter joined in, saying, "Please tell the voters or remind them that it was Grant Devine's fault hospitals and schools closed..."

And then a guy named Alvin wrote, "Our next prime minister."

And someone asked, "Premier?"

And another guy wrote, "Both."

And we're just getting started!
