The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the provincial total to 1,751.

Seven new cases are in Saskatoon, one in the North East zone and one in Regina. The location of one new case is pending.

There has been a total of 21 cases linked to a social gathering in Saskatoon and contact tracing is underway. The provincial government believes other cases could be identified from this event.

Four more people have recovered, bringing the active cases to 107.

Four people are in hospital receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

To date, 163,151 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan. As of Sept. 14, when other provincial and national numbers are available from Public Health Agency of Canada, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 116,000 people tested per million population. The national rate was 167,392 people tested per million population.

On Tuesday, 1,218 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
