The Entrepreneurship 30 class from Vanier Collegiate has donated $4,200 to the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank after creating the Lonesome Road Corporation, and selling a variety of clothing.

Over 340 items of clothing were sold, including bunnyhugs, t-shirts, and crewnecks, during the business's week-long sale.

Student and member of Lonesome Road Co., Grace Waldenberger, talks about the process.

"With a class of 28 it was very hard to make decisions, so we learned how to do that, work together and compromise, and come up with new ideas we could all agree on. We decided on clothing pretty quick, but the designs, colours, what type we were getting, that took probably a full week of meetings and deciding."

Trinity Andries, who was also a member of Lonesome Road Co., explains why they chose the Food Bank as the recipient of their proceeds.

"They weren't able to have their food drive for Halloween this year, they weren't able to get as many food donations, so we thought they were a good place to give the proceeds too."

The class was helped by local businesses including The Shop, Minute Man Press, and Boston Pizza. The McGrath family also helped out by donating $600 to help the business get their feet off the ground.
