55 cases are considered active in the sub-region 'South Central 2', which includes Moose Jaw and surrounding area

Seven more residents who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One of the individuals was in their 40s, one in their 60s, and 5 in the 80+ age group.

238 new cases were also reported Thursday, along with 466 recoveries.

81 of the new cases are in Saskatoon, 40 in Regina, 32 in the north-central region, 26 in the northwest, 15 in the far northeast, nine in the northeast, seven in the central-east, seven in the south-central zone, five in the far northwest, three in the southwest, three in the southeast, and one in the far north-central region. Nine of the cases are pending resident information.

3,978 cases are considered active.

126 people are in hospital, with 104 receiving inpatient care and 22 in intensive care.

The government of Saskatchewan also provided the following change to self-isolation guidelines. 

The isolation period for COVID-19 positive individuals is being reduced from 14 to 10 days effective immediately.  Individuals who are already currently in self-isolation should still continue to wait for a call from public health to confirm they are recovered.

Individuals who are self-isolating as a result of being a close contact must continue to self-isolate for 14 days as it can take several days for symptoms to appear.  Once symptoms appear individuals must self-isolate for 10 days from the onset of symptoms.  Immunocompromised persons should follow the isolation period recommendations of public health and follow up with their physician or oncologist.
