A former mayor of Saskatoon and a noted Indigenous writer and filmmaker will be among the six newest recipients of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.

Former Saskatoon mayor Don Atchison, and Doug Cuthand of Saskatoon, join philanthropists Lyn Goldman and Grit McCreath and Drs Andy Andy Potter and Dr. William Francis Ready for the province’s highest honour.

Lt. Gov. W. Thomas Malloy said in a media release that the recipients are visionaries who have made extraordinary contributions to the province. They join 235 people invested in the order since 1985.
