Santa Claus resumes his stay in the Notorious City.

Moose Jaw's annual Santa Claus parade will look a lot like it did last year, bringing the cheer right to your neighbourhood. The only difference will be the route.

"I was there every night (last year), a lot of us were and we probably covered 98% of the streets in Moose Jaw and it was just too much and some of the streets just aren't conducive for getting the fire trucks up," said Cory Olafson, member of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen club.

This year, the parade will be following a route similar to the public transit bus routes with some slight adjustments.

The parade ran last weekend and returns this weekend to cover off the remaining half of the city. Routes include the regal heights area and the avenues on Saturday and the east end on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, The Kinsmen Club, and Golden West Trailer & Equipment will start their venture at 6 pm on both nights.

The exact parade details for each night can be found on the Kinsmen Club's Facebook page along with a method of tracking Santa's journey in the city.

"Santa will have a pin on him that so... once we start the parade route, if you go on our Facebook page you can see where we're and kind of follow our route there so that's another way you can track where we're at each night," Olafson explained.

The Moose Jaw Food Bank will also be there collecting donations of non-perishable food items. During last year's parade nights, the food bank brought back a total of 7500 pounds of food. People can leave bags of food on the sidewalks and volunteers will pick them up.
