It's a step in the right direction but won't likely be enough. Rain started to fall on the Friendly City late Wednesday afternoon with a thunderstorm developing into the evening hours. Around 5mm of rain has fallen with a chance for a little more through the day and into the evening as there's a chance of some more thunderstorm activity.

Campers are anxious for the long weekend forecast and there's good news. Things will be a little cooler than usual Friday night and so an extra sleeping bag or heater will be needed, the sunshine should return Saturday and stay through Monday.

Next week is expected to see daytime highs over 30 degrees, a far cry from the 20 degrees that we normally see at this time of the year.
