We got a little break and free parking for a while, but that time has passed.

The City of Moose Jaw has installed a new pay station in the west parking lot behind City Hall, right off of Fairford St. and 1st Avenue NW. The new station uses a "pay by plate" format, and all users of the lot must enter their license plate and pay for the allotted time they will be there for.

The new machine will be charging for the first time Tuesday and is compatible with the Park-Smart cards that can be purchased at City Hall and used at smart meters.

Maximum time for a parking spot is five hours and Commissionaires will begin to monitor the lot again.
