The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police have released numbers for their 2019 Gun Amnesty Program.
There have been over 100 unwanted firearms turned over to law enforcement during their annual initiative so far.

While the amnesty still has just over a week left, Moose Jaw Police have picked up 24 firearms so far, 19 non-restricted and 5 that are prohibited by design.
The initiative was held by the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police.

Along with Moose Jaw's arms, the Saskatchewan RCMP tallied 48 and all departments who took part collected 133 firearms from Saskatchewan residents.

Residents are encouraged to hand over any unused or unwanted firearms, replicas, or ammunition before April 19. They are also asked to NOT transport the weapons to the police department, and to instead call ahead and arrange a pickup.
