As the Saskatchewan Party plans for the future under Scott Moe following their leadership convention on the weekend, the opposition NDP have their doubts on who was selected to be our next premier.

NDP leadership hopeful Trent Wotherspoon says the province needs a change from the old guard.

"Scott Moe was there to put together the devastating budget that attacked our classroomns, sold off STC, threatened our crown corperations, forced unfair tax hikes upon Saskatchewan people, and really hit the most vulnerable in a callous and damaging way."

NDP Leadership candidate Ryan Meil:

"It was an interesting process to watch and watch that there wasn't really a clear leader that emerged, in terms of the original rounds and there was such division, he came with only 26% in the beginning and needed multiple rounds to get there. So [it's] a question of how united the party is right now."

As the transition from Brad Wall to Scott Moe occurs over the next several weeks, the NDP will pick from either Trent Wotherspoon or Ryan Meili to become the next leader of the opposition in March.
