Canada 150 is about to end but there are still plenty of events for 151.

Like the 17th annual Moose Jawg, which helps raise funds for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, as it will be returning yet again for Canada Day.

The run attracts some professional runners like University marathoners, but the run has something for everybody.

"So we've got the competitive side but its also a great event for people who are just starting to run," explained Dawn Luhning, the event organizer. "You know because it's fun. I started because I started running and so I wanted to keep that kind of you know if you want to do a race for the first time, do our Moose Jawg, right, because it's a good place to do it and Wakamow's beautiful scenery and Moose Jaw's great."

There are 5 km and 10 km events, and you can register online until June 27th. If you miss that date, you can still register through a print out form.

Luhning also said they are looking for volunteers. She says she has a stellar group for set up and take down, but they'd like more to help with that and run the events.

It's also a charity walk too, as all funds raised by the Moose Jawg goes towards the Moose Jaw Health Foundation.

You can visit the Moose Jawg website for more details on registration and volunteering.
