The Moose Jaw Music Festival officially kicked off last Monday.

High school choirs from around the Friendly City performed on Tuesday night in their portion of the festival.

Jaicee Patterson, a member of the Peacock choir gave insight into how long they've been practicing their songs, 'Walk out on the Water' by Royal Canoe, and 'Goodnight Dear Heart' by Mark Twain.

"We've been doing these songs for about three months, little more, little less, but we've been in this choir for the whole year."

Patterson also explained what it means to be part of the festival as a choir. "We have a festival with a bunch of kids from all the schools that are in choir, and we just show our parents, family members, and obviously the other schools just what we've been working on."

The Moose Jaw Music Festival continues today and goes on until Monday.
