Mortlach's Megan Nash is away on tour but busy planning for a show near home.

Nash announced Tuesday that she'll be playing on the Mae Wilson stage this fall, but she won't be doing a solo performance - she'll be joined by a group she met on tour last year called Scotch and Water.

“It’s an exciting step for the band. It has always been a goal of ours to tour internationally,” said Dennis Bajer from Scotch & Water in a written release. “We look forward to the opportunity to showcase our work with Megan as well. We toured together in Germany and now Canadian audiences will get to experience our collaborative work.”

Nash is fresh off a Juno nomination and in the middle of another tour in Germany. She's also working on a new album, a portion of which will be recorded in Moose Jaw.

“Moose Jaw is a great community and there are quite a few talented and hardworking artists that call it home,” says Nash who is currently touring Europe. “I love working close to home on creative projects. It’s nice to feel the support of a community when you are working on something as vulnerable as a record.”

Her last album "Seeker" featured Bears in Hazenmore and a few of the members will also be showing off their skills in downtown Moose Jaw with Nash.

The performance is set for September 7th of this year and tickets go on sale April 26th at Moose Jaw Cultural Centre box office.
