The Multiplex Governance Board held their first get together last week and are now working towards finding their first ever general manager -- a top priority for the group.

"I believe we have 32 applicants and we've got to figure out who we think are strong and kind of gel our lists together," said Councillor Fraser Tolmie.

While the first meeting was a meet and great type atmosphere, Tolmie believes all seven members of the board are committed to getting the job done.

"Every meeting that we have will end off with 'what are we going to do next?' There's a lot going on with this process and we want to get our ducks in a row. There's going to be a lot of setting priorities and coming up with kind of a business plan."

Susan Flett, Lieutenant Colonel Kurt Saladana, Genelle Payant and Terry Hardy were named to the board as citizens at large last month. Tolmie, Heather Eby and Terry Coleman are the council representatives.
