With the long weekend on the horizon, many people will be hitting the roads.

Saskatchewan is currently the 3rd cheapest place in the country to fill your gas tanks, according to Gas Buddy.com.

Our gas in Moose Jaw is still among the most affordable here in Saskatchewan at 109.5.

Prices are down across the province by nearly 4 cents a litre, and 6 cents below the national average.

Dropping 3.5 cents per litre this week alone, it's a good time to fill up, especially if you're headed out for the long weekend.

Prairie gas prices are among the lowest in Canada across the board.

If the trend matches last year, it should level out and then start to dip come winter.

Cruise control, minimal air conditioning, and taking your most fuel efficient vehicle are all good ways to make the tank go even further this Labour Day weekend.
