A new health clinic hosted their grand opening on Saturday.

Hillcrest Health renovated the old school board office on Thatcher Drive, making extensive changes to include imaging equipment, rehabilitation, family medicine, and even psychiatrists.

Dr. Volker Rininsland said, "There's a great deal of benefit to the patients. We have various specialties under one roof. For example, someone who might have a joint problem...we have an orthopedic surgeon down the hall, and we can consult back and forth. Similarly, their patient may have a skin problem, and we're just down the hall from them."

Rininsland said health care is going more the way of clinics like Hillcrest Health because "...people really like it."

Seeing a lot of rural patients every year, the new facility benefits those patients because they don't have to come in for an appointment and then come back in a few weeks for the results. It can all happen, typically, with one visit.
