Touching on themes about the feeling of isolation during the pandemic, Nick Hennink's new song called I Am Strong will make its debut later this week.

Hennink and producer Jared Robinson have come together for a song and video for Hennink's new COVID-inspired tune. The song, called 'I am Strong', was written by Hennink, who is also a paramedic.

“I Am Strong’ was dedicated to those experiencing depression, anxiety (and) addiction issues during this whole COVID crisis,” Hennink said. “The thing is we’re all isolated to protect those that are immunocompromised. But unfortunately, isolation is kind of detrimental to those with mental illnesses and that isolation can really affect those who are struggling and it could make things worse.”

Hennink worked with producer Jared Robinson with the song and video. Hennink is also a paramedic, and he's seen firsthand how things have been changing there.

“There’s a lot of different things happening at work, a lot of different procedures, and things we have to do,” he said. “A lot of masking up and putting protective stuff on. So that was a little different. It was getting a little bit busier, but I had a couple of months off. My heart goes out to all those other guys that are still on the streets and working hard at it.”

Hennink said the official launch of the video will be at 11 a.m. Friday, on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
