"Anne and Gilbert" is the latest, and last, Rubarb Productions show of the season at the Mae Wilson Theatre. "Anne and Gilbert: The Musical" is a family show, and is the second in the "Anne of Green Gables" series.

Artistic Director with RuBarb Productions, Evie Koop Sawatzky said this is one of their most important shows of the season.

"Rubarb's mandate, the board, is fully invested in creating wholesome entertainment," said Sawatzky. "Our summer show is our flagship show, and we want to make sure that that is always just, warm and opening to families and clients of all ages, visitors to Moose Jaw."

Sawatzky says that along with the regular evening performances, there will be some matinee shows as well.

"We run starting this Thursday through August 16th. We also have three matinees, because I know not everyone is interested in coming in the evening. So we have these three matinees -- two Saturdays and a Sunday matinee," explained Sawatzky. "So, those matinee crowds are just special crowds for us, and I'm excited to see them grow every time."

Dan Falk is in the musical, and says he's enjoyed his time working on the show.

"We're having a great time with the show. I love this show. I actually did a production of it in Prince Edward Island nine years ago," said Falk. "That production is actually still running and I was in it the second year. It is really, really terrific. The show is a lot of fun, you'll laugh, you'll cry, the music is incredibly catchy. I think people are really going to love it."

Tickets for the show are still available through either the Mae Wilson Theatre or RuBarb productions.
