The Government of Saskatchewan's Conservation Officers are reminding citizens, who are typically just trying to help, to leave small animals alone.

In some cases it may seem as though they're abandoned by their mother, but with most animals, she is nearby and have put them somewhere secluded to keep the young animals away from predators.

It is also illegal to take in wild animals and you may decrease their chance of survival by taking them out their habitat.

If you stumble upon a wild animal you feel is in danger or abandoned please call a conservation officer.
