The City of Moose Jaw will be holding an open house Wednesday, April 17, to discuss the Southeast Industrial concept plan. The industrial park will consist of 700 hectares of land south of Moose Jaw. The project will utilize existing municipal and provincial infrastructure to help start industrial development that will focus on the agriculture and business sector.

According to the City, the purpose of the meeting is to “enable you to view and provide your perspective on the proposed land use concept.”

SaskPower will be in attendance at the open house, providing information on the future natural gas power station that will be built in the area. The station will provide a steady source of power that will run continuously, allowing for more solar and wind power in the future. The power company will be looking for community feedback on how the project will affect residents and how they can lessen the station's effects.

The open house will be a come and go event and will feature members from SaskPower, Associated Engineering, and the City of Moose Jaw. The open house will run from 12-7 at the Wakamow Valley Sportsmen Centre.
