It's seems like its very early in the season to be thinking about it, but a large brush fire hit Saskatoon Tuesday, causing some trees to burn near the Riverside Esttates neighbourhood.

Crews were up against dry, windy conditions in the city as a quick melt and very little rain has affected much of Saskatchewan.

Saskatoon's fire chief is cautioning people in that city about doing burning in their yards. Forty firefighters attacked the brush fire for eight hours, and a water tanker was used in the fight. The cause was not yet determined.
