RCMP are searching the Moose Jaw landfill as part of a growing investigation into the disappearance and now death, of 48-year-old Claude Landry.

Police went public with the investigation back on July 15th saying the man from Kincaid was last seen in Gravelbourg. In the last few days, RCMP have arrested and charged two people, confirmed that Landry's body was found southwest of Gravelbourg in an open area and are now focusing on the Moose Jaw landfill in their search for more evidence.

The search will likely be conducted for most of the day, although landfill users are still being allowed through the front gates as of 11 am Thursday. No further information has been released at this time, but there have been some media reports that a third suspect is either being sought or has already been taken into custody.

RCMP also shared more information Thursday afternoon, stating that a third person is facing charges in regards to the case; however, the charges aren't related to the murder of Landry. 41-year-old Shaunna Prentice of LaFleche was charged with mischief after giving a false sworn statement to officers.

We'll have more on this development as it becomes available.
