With advance polls coming up next week and election day just over a week away, some voters in Saskatchewan are still looking for that one issue that might swing their vote on November 7th. Resource royalties, education, health care and so many other topics have been brought up by the candidates but what's important to you?... or are you more interested in the personality of the candidates?

We've been asking Moose Javians for the last three weeks and that includes members of Moose Jaw City Council who are watching close and trying to decide.  Councillor Don Mitchell is especially looking for details on how the parties are planning on helping with housing.

"The province, as well as the federal government, have to be the lead partners in this. I would hope that this becomes more of a focus issue and that we have strong leadership in actually dealing with what is a province wide shortage."

Other councillors would like to hear more about how the province is going to help with infrastructure shortfalls and of course a promises for a new hospital but for Councillor Heather Eby, a much simpler issue could decide who gets her vote.

"Respectful campaigning." replied Eby when asked what she's looking for during the campaign. "I'm not a fan of negative campaigning in any election and I value people who are respectful to each other so for me that's more important than any of the issues."

Thursday night, we'll get a chance to see what some of the candidates have to say as the first election forum takes to the stage in Moose Jaw. The Moose Jaw and District Labour Council is hosting the event at seven o'clock at the Moose Jaw Union Centre on Caribou Street West.

Coming up Tuesday, the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum on their own.
