Our Lady of Hope – that's the name picked by Holy Trinity’s Board of Education for the new joint-use school on South Hill.

A press release said they picked the name to align with the Catholic mission and values of their school division.

They added “It honours the Virgin Mary’s appearance in Pontmain, France, during a time of conflict, where she offered solace and protection to those in need. The story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of faith, prayer, and perseverance, values that we aim to instill in our students.”

This comes after an announcement earlier in the month from Prairie South School Division, when they gave the name Coteau Hills Elementary to their part of the joint-use school.

The K-12 school's construction is expected to be completed by 2025.
