Dogs have special days too.  March 30th is one of them.

That is the deadline day for dog owners to renew licenses for 2018, and having your dog properly licensed is important according to Dana Haukass at the Moose Jaw Humane Society.

"It shows not only proof of ownership, but also that you're following the city by-laws.  And if somebody were to find your dog, they could look at the city tag, then they could contact either city hall or the Moose Jaw Humane Society and we would be able to pass on your contact information and your dog could get back home safe and sound".

The cost to license a spayed or neutered dog is $15, and $40 for all others.

Licenses can be renewed at City Hall, the Moose Jaw Humane Society, or can be paid online through your bank.

The money from the dog licenses is used for operations at the Moose Jaw Humane Society.
