The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 78 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (2), North West (3), North Central (7), North East (6), Saskatoon (41), Central East (1), and Regina (18) zones.

Of the reported cases, 739 are considered active.

Eighty-one people recovered, while 29 are in hospital. Twenty-three are receiving inpatient care and six people are in intensive care.

To date, 263,053 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.  As of Oct. 29, when other provincial and national numbers were available, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 176,818 people tested per million population.  The national rate was 251,039 people tested per million population.

On Friday, 2,720 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
