A 27-year-old man is facing several driving and drug charges following a high-speed chase in Moose Jaw on Thursday.

The Moose Jaw Police Service says it attempted to stop an SUV without a license plate just after 12 noon. The vehicle fled police at a high rate of speed, leaving the city limits.

The vehicle returned to the city later in the day and was involved in multiple collisions on the 900 and 1000 block of Athabasca Street East.

The vehicle collided with another vehicle, a power pole, and a fence before coming to stop after hitting a tree.

Both drivers were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
