The Warriors will go from a long time between games to a flurry of action in the next four days.

That's just fine with Kaeden Taphorn, one of the veteran forwards on the team, who is looking forward to the games this week.

"They're three really good teams in this league and you know how games have heen played, any team can beat any team in this league," said Taphorn. "We've got to show that we can compete with any team."

The Warriors kick off their busy stretch tonight at home against the Edmonton Oil Kings. They will follow that with Friday at home to the Vancouver Giants and then Saturday in Prince Albert against the Raiders.

Warriors forward Carson Denomie said the break was good to keep the batteries charged. The team took Monday off practice.

"It was kind of nice to get a day off and refresh the body," he said. "With these games coming up, it's going to be a grind this week. Especially getting later into the second and third game. it's going to be important to be fresh."

Taphorn has a goal and an assist in five games with the team, but like any 19-year-old on a team with a lot of younger players, his role is more than just putting up numbers.

"Obviously being an older guy now, you look back at past years and see what different roles those older guys have," Taphorn said. "You've got to take on more of a leadership role and show the young guys how to adpat in this league.I'm just trying to do that with the young guys here now."

Puck drops tonight at 7 p.m. with the pre-game show on Country 100 at 6:40 p.m.
