The Central Cyclones senior girls took a big step Tuesday night with their first win of the Moose Jaw High School Volleyball season, a sweep of the Cornerstone Falcons (25-23, 26-24, 25-16).

Cyclones coach Joe Gunnis was happy with how they communicated.

"I thought we passed really well tonight," said Gunnis. "And the girls kind of fed off the energy we had passing and it kind of played forward through the rest of the game."

While they did have some points in the game they needed to improve on, the Cyclones were able to keep their energy up.

"It's something we talk about a lot, is taking that energy and putting it through the whole game," he said. "Where sometimes in games, there's lulls and tough points, and you've got to keep that energy level up and try to keep it on your side."

In the other girls division, Peacock swept B.C.A. at Caronport (25-15, 25-17, 25-14).

In the boys division, the Vanier Vikings kept up their undefeated regular season with a 3-0 sweep of Cornerstone (25-15, 25-11, 25-12), while the Central boys swept Riverview (25-14, 25-23, 25-17) and Avonlea went to B.C.A. and won three sets to one (26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 25-13).
