Greg Martin spent most of his childhood growing up in Moose Jaw.  He was a gifted athlete and visual artist.  He was handsome and charming.  The girls all wanted to date him and the boys wanted to be like him.  He enjoyed those times but there was always something on his mind.  That something was his femininity.  It was always there.

It was just a few years ago, with retirement from firefighting in his near future, Greg started the transition he just knew he needed.  Greg started the change from being Greg to become Josi.  He is now she.

Some friends and acquaintances have had a hard time understanding but most have embraced Josi.  That's just one of the things local filmmaker Ken Dalgarno learned when shooting his new documentary, "Josi Victoria - A Complicated Masquerade".

Ken, Josi and CHAB's Rob Carnie, who all grew up in the same neighbourhood, recently talked about the documentary on 800 CHAB's The Heartland at Noon.

This is a photo of Greg Martin that many locals will remember.  The photo was taken when Greg, a talented defensive back, was playing with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.  It's a photo that was prominently displayed in the office of Greg's high school football coach at Central Collegiate, Dave Green.
