I'll be honest.  I left Friday night's hockey game early.  The Warriors were hosting the Regina Pats at Mosaic Place.  I was expecting some passion and excitement.  When the Pats took a 4-0 lead into the 2nd intermission, I was gone.  Disappointed.

It was later in the evening when I was scrolling through social media I see an acquaintance telling her story about the hockey game.

She's a talented actor and not much of a sports fan so it was interesting to read about how she enjoyed herself.  An old friend of hers gave her some tickets.  It was her first hockey game in 20 years!

"It was fun," she said.  "I ended up sitting beside my first high school boyfriend," she wrote.  "...no word of a lie.  Poor guy looked like he had seen a ghost.  Only in Moose Jaw can you go to a huge arena and end up sitting beside an ex."

And, her synopsis of the game?  "As for hockey, well, our team seemed to play badly.  One player with number 7 on his back was doing his best but the rest of them seemed kinda bored..." she wrote.

She got that straight.
