The time to "ring those phones" is almost here.  Kinsmen Telemiracle hits TV screens across the province this weekend for the 44th consecutive year.

This year the show originates from the Conexus Arts Center in Regina starting at 9 pm Friday night and continuing until 5 pm Saturday.  The show is broadcast live across the province and for those who would like to see the action live admission is free.

Lori Carr is the government minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission.  She spoke to the impact this event has on all of us.

“Telemiracle is one of the many annual events in the province that brings out the kindness, generosity and good nature of Saskatchewan people,” Carr said.  “I encourage everyone across this great province to consider supporting Telemiracle 44 by tuning in for the telethon and telling your family, friends and neighbors to ‘ring those phones’ with donations.  The results will help enhance the quality of life of many in Saskatchewan.”

Indeed.  Since the first Telemiracle back in 1977 more than $134,000,000 has been raised for the Kinsmen Foundation, making Telemiracle, per capita, the most successful telethon in the world.  All the money stays right here Saskatchewan to help those in need.
