The Prairie South School Division hosted its Elementary Badminton City Championships this week with Sunningdale School capturing three out of the four titles.

In the Girls Singles Division, Sunningdale's Makena Simmons edged Lindale's Jessica Selensky to come away with gold. Cornerstone's Ashley Breitkruz picked up bronze with a win over Olivia Geradts in the third place game.

The Boys Singles title was won by Nigel Fang from Sunningdale. He beat King George's Teagan Tollefson in the gold medal game, while Sunningdale's Ashton Glova picked up bronze, beating Nolan Kearns in the third place game.

Sunningdale's third title came in Boys Doubles where Carter Michaluk and Bryson Aikens prevailed over Cornerstone's Makariy Pryadko and Balongelwa Alfani.

The bronze medal went to Tyson Blatchford and Curtis Smith from King George after they topped Nathan McDougall and Kayce Owens.

The only title that didn't end up in Sunningdale's hands was in Girls Doubles where Lindale's Taylor Rosenau and Taiya Carpentier won over the Cornerstone duo of Rylan Morhart and Brooklyn Artavia.

The bronze medal was won by Sunningdale's team of Haley Chornawka and Amera Schauenberg. They knocked off Aliyah Lamb and Summer Garrity from King George.
