Sunday morning in downtown Moose Jaw.  It just sounds pleasant, doesn't it?  It is, usually.  Not yesterday.

My weekly trip to my favourite drug store was disturbed by a shoplifter.  He was intercepted and ejected by one of the clerks.  The boy was shaking and crying and apologetic.  The clerk - visibly rattled.  I felt bad for both of them.  The boy likely has an addiction to feed.  The clerk has a family to feed and doesn't get paid enough to be in dangerous situations like that.

Then, later, at the grocery store, I witnessed a domestic dispute near the front entrance.  A young couple - not getting along.  There was anger and tears and desperation.  Police were called to defuse the situation.  They did.

I was a little rattled myself by the time I got home to unpack my supplies.  And, as I did, I thought about how lucky I am to live the life I live.

How was your Sunday?
