The numbers are in after the Moose Jaw Police Service conducted a stop check on Friday.

According to social media they checked over 250 vehicles during the time they were set up near the 4th Avenue Bridge at the start of the weekend.

Officers handed out tickets to three suspended drivers, one 72-hour suspension for alcohol, two unregistered vehicles, and three no license violations.

The Traffic Safety Spotlight for the month of June focuses on drivers in the Graduated Driver's Licensing Program and riders in the Motorcycle Graduated Driver Licensing Program.

However, the local police service is still pushing forward with efforts to get impaired drivers off the road, too.
